The US Women's Rugby Foundation (USWRF) and Women's Rugby Leadership Council (WRLC) selected five candidates to be considered for the USA Rugby (USAR) Board of Director positions that have been recently vacated. The national governing body is vetting applicants quickly, and thus USWRF and WRLC encourage the rugby community to contact their USAR Congress representatives to endorse these candidates in an attempt to #BalanceTheUSARBoard.

Angelique Brunner founded EB5 Capital in 2007. As Founder & President, Ms. Brunner oversees a portfolio of approximately $500 million in EB-5 investments across more than 20 assets in five states. She provides strategic direction to the entire company including oversight to the investments, marketing, and legal departments. EB5 Capital has raised funds from over 50 countries. Ms. Brunner was one of the first to obtain a regional center operating license, placing her among the first 15 of the over 1,200 that exist today.
Ms. Brunner is considered an industry expert, a seasoned and highly respected Regional Center operator, and a strong advocate for the EB-5 Program as a tool for economic development. She serves on the Board of Directors for Invest in the USA (IIUSA), the national EB-5 industry trade association, and was the Inaugural Chair of the IIUSA Policy Committee, which guides the industry’s communications with the USCIS and other governmental agencies. Ms. Brunner also represents the EB-5 Investment Coalition (EB-5IC) as its Industry Membership Chair & Spokesperson.
In March 2017, Ms. Brunner testified before the United States House of Representatives Judiciary Committee at a hearing examining proposed reforms to the EB-5 Program. In 2011, at the request of Senator Leahy’s (D-VT) office, she submitted official congressional testimony in support of the EB-5 Program. In 2009 Ms. Brunner co-authored “Realizing the Economic-Development Goals of EB-5 Through an Integrated Targeted Employment Area Definition [TEA]” in which she urged Congress to expand the current TEA provision.
Before founding EB5 Capital, Ms. Brunner spent more than a decade working in finance and investments for both public and private organizations focused on real estate and venture capital. Her past employers include Fannie Mae, Neighborhood Development Company, National Capital Revitalization Corporation, CORE Capital Partners, and Public Financial Management.
Ms. Brunner is a graduate of Brown University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy. She holds a certificate in Urban Planning and a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School, where she studied under Ben Bernanke, former chairman of the Federal Reserve.
